When it comes to sharing data in a small office, my favorite product is a NAS (Network Attached Storage). My preferred NAS is the DiskStation from Synology. Here you're find two models, one that can contain two hard drives and one that can hold four. Both models use one of the disks in the array as redundant storage, so if one drive fails you won't lose any data.
If you go with the four disk version, you don't have to put more than two drives in it, and you can expand further later. I recommend a minimum of two drives either way.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
